Forum I - Main Auditorium

Ther Forum Theatre, with a capacity of 1500 has been described as the utopia of live band venues. Bands to have played its stage include Crowded House, Midnight Oil, Billy Bragg, John Butler Trio, Lou Reed,Sir Bob Geldof, Powderfinger and many more. - can we change to "The Forum Melbourne, with a standing room capacity of 1500 has been described as the utopia of live band venues. The Forum is also an exciting Cabaret venue, seating up to 800 people in a combination of booths and banquet tables - the ultimate alternative venue for meetings or conferences. A series of bars, foyers and private lounge areas ideally suited for cocktail parties and receptions are also available, offering in-house catering, waiting staff and full bar facilities.

Forum II Upstairs Auditorium

This smaller venue is located on the third level and provides theatre-style seating. With in-house film projectors and surround sound system it is an ideal venue for film screenings. The venue offers a wonderful ambience for more intimate music or comedy performances.

Forum 2 is also ideal for conferences and product launches.

GENERAL INFORMATION

OVER 18’s VENUE
The Forum Melbourne is an over 18’s venue.  Patrons must be able to present one of the following ID’s to gain entry: learner or driver’s license, passport, proof of age card, keypass.  No ID, No Entry, No Refunds.  For further information please contact the Box Office on (03) 9299 9700. 

PROHIBITED
Alcohol, cans, bottles, recording equipment, lazers, studded belts or weapons can not be brought onto the premises.

NO SMOKING
The Forum Melbourne is a no smoking venue.

ATM’s
‘Cash-out’ facilities are available from venue Bars.  Closest ATM is at Federation Square

LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED TICKETS
Lost, stolen or damaged tickets must be reported to Ticketmaster prior to the event day, or prior to 4pm on the event day

FACILITIES - for use by the Hirer
1.Front-of-House management staff (ushers and program sellers are casual employees and will be charged at the current hourly rate).
2. General cleaning, air conditioning and lighting of auditorium, foyers and backstage area.
3. Maintenance of all theatre equipment.
4. Dressing room accommodation.
5. Wardrobe area (containing facilities as listed).
6. Theatre advertising and promotional space.
7. The assistance of senior technical staff (advisory capacity).
8. Sound equipment (as listed).
9. Lighting and stage equipment (as listed) are available for hire.

Lighting Control Position

Centre of Auditorium behind first row of booths (alongside Sound Control Position) or O.P. side of old Dress Circle Balcony.  House lights can be controlled from either of these control positions.

Projection Equipment

SOUND EQUIPMENT:

There is a Permanent Flown F.O.H. System. This Equipment varies and is supplied by Johnston Audio.  Contact Venue re Spec.

The Multicore Sound Loom needs to be 60 metres long and is run via the under stalls area on a single sided cable tray to stage.
