Paul Weller - one of England's most influential and iconic musicians and songwriters - he embarks on a national Australian tour this October.
Fans waited more than 20 years for Paul Weller’s long-overdue, highly acclaimed and sold-out 2008 tour. Two years on, Weller brings his Wake Up The Nation tour to an eagerly awaiting audience.
Tickets for the Modfather's October tour will go on sale on Friday 23 April.
On the same day Weller delivers his 10th solo album, Wake Up The Nation (Universal Music). Described as "the sound of Weller wide awake, ready to take the world on again," the 14-track offering is already drawing rave reviews as Weller’s best to date, and includes two tracks featuring The Jam bassist Bruce Foxton.
Tickets purchased before Friday 23 April - during the pre-sale running from noon on Friday 16 April to 5pm Thursday 22 April will receive a priority download of the new album Wake Up The Nation included in the ticket price.
Three lucky Weller fans who book during the pre-sale will also go into the draw to win Paul Weller back catalogue prizes including the deluxe Wild Wood, deluxe Wake Up The Nation, Just A Dream DVD and Hit Parade greatest hits album courtesy of Universal Music Australia.
As leader singer of The Jam, Paul Weller fronted the most popular and influential British band of the era. Between their 1977 debut single release In The City to their break-up in 1982 The Jam charted 18 consecutive Top 40 singles in the UK, including four #1 hits - Going Underground, Start, Town Called Malice and their last single release Beat Surrender.
Teaming up Mick Talbot, Weller formed The Style Council in 1983, releasing diverse hit singles such as Speak Like A Child, Money Go Round, My Ever Changing Moods, Shout To The Top, Walls Come Tumbling Down, Long Hot Summer and Have You Ever Had It Blue.
After the demise of The Style Council in 1989, Weller later returned to prominence with critically acclaimed and popular solo albums - 1993's Wild Wood and 1995’s Stanley Road - and more recently 2008’s 22 Dreams.
Don't miss the cool swagger and fervent rock 'n' roll of Paul Weller!

Melbourne's Little Red have announced a massive headline tour in support of their forthcoming new album Midnight Remember.
The sophomore album's undeniable lead single Rock It has already taken the nation's airwaves by storm and anticipation for this next chapter in the Little Red story is sky high. Underpinned by a sly disco bass hook and spry piano, Rock It mimics the experience of the summer nights that you don't want to let go of, even when night turns to day. It has become the bands most successful single to date and is already being mentioned in media circles as one of the singles of the year.
Accompanying Little Red on this 'Midnight Remember' tour will be special guests Sparkadia. Sparkadia are poised to release the first single of the new album, 'Talking Like I'm Falling Down Stairs' and return to Australian stages, as guests of Little Red, for the first time since their sold out Auf Weidersehen tour in April 2009.

Clare Bowditch's fourth studio album, modern day addiction is very much worth the wait. Modern day addiction is a contagious, satirical, yet heart-achingly tender album about humanity and "the eternal search for meaning" in a world of quick, delicious fixes. The only way to tell a story this big is to gather a "chops-heavy" band of eight around you (aka the new slang) including three incredible back-up singers, a small plane-full of instruments, sing-along lyric sheets, and hit the road. Hard.
Modern day addiction can be pre-ordered from www.clarebowditch.com where you will get a limited edition digi-pack personally signed by clare, a poster and your choice of any one of her previous three albums delivered digitally for free! Clare is also throwing in the unique chance for you and some mates to hang out with her, and her lady garden, pre-show, for a dash of personalised "audience-participation tutelage."
